Discovery
The discovery phase focused on gaining a deep understanding of how users currently navigate and experience DOL content. By synthesizing documentation and understanding user pain points and gaps, I was able to identify key design opportunities.
Low-Fidelity Wireframes
With discovery insights in place, I moved into low-fidelity wireframes to explore layout, hierarchy, and user flows without the distraction of visual design. These wireframes focused on validating structure, content prioritization, and navigation patterns, allowing for rapid iteration and early stakeholder feedback before progressing to higher-fidelity design.
UI Styling and Design System
Following wireframing, I led UI styling and design system efforts to translate structure into a cohesive, visual language. This phase focused on establishing consistent design patterns, scalable components, and clear interaction styles—ensuring the experience could support multiple agencies while remaining flexible, usable, and compliant with federal accessibility standards.
